Our different life experiences and viewpoints brden the landscape of possibilities for children. God designed you and your journey packed with learnings and insights that can be easily shared as you journey alongside a child. This year there are so many unique opportunities to serve in your city, to bless your schools, the teachers, kids and families in our community by serving your local school EVEN if you don’t have children attending that school. We have the opportunity as the kingdom to love on children in a way teachers might not have time to do. Just one hour per week or one day a month could help a child know they are loved, valued and dream about a different future for themselves. From mentoring, helping in a classroom, putting a bulletin board together, visiting with a parent, helping with childcare, move day, career day, reading, or teacher appreciation, there are so many ways to be involved. Most schools in your community have these programs going. If not, reach out to the Community Outreach Staff, and we will support you in finding a way to serve in your local school. JA of Georgia's programs are intensely focused to bring relevance, authenticity and application into everyday learning to energize students around academics and their future possibilities. Students will spend the school day at JA BizTown or JA Finance Park. It takes at least 50 volunteers a day to run programs so there are opportunities for small groups, large groups and businesses to serve. Volunteering with JA goes far beyond your time spent with the students. The experiences you share and scenarios you help bring to life will impact these students forever.
