BUFORD, SUGAR HILL PATH PROJECT: AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS BUFORD AND SUGAR HILL LOCATIONS Monday – Thursday, 4:00 – 5:30 PM Path Project volunteers serve as role models and make it possible for children to receive individualized encouragement and support. Volunteers don’t need to be trained as a teacher or even know the latest way to do math. Volunteers just need to be there, smile, ask questions, and offer encouragement. These are the things that matter most and have a lasting impact. We are currently serving in Peachtree Village of Sugar Hill and Countryside Village of Buford. You can help on days and times that work best for you. In addition to our after- school clubs you can serve on the prayer team and visit families in our community, help with soccer clubs, and our mommy-and-me program. There was a need to help nourish the less fortunate children in our public-school system so they could learn at the same rate as their classmates. By providing them with food over the weekend, it would increase the odds of educational success. Speak with a school counselor to see if they have the Blessings in a Backpack program going on at your school. Blessings in a Backpack is a unique program designed to provide weekend nourishment to children grades K-8 in Title 1 schools who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Meal Program.
